ROUTE 62 WINE ROUTE
Route 62 boasts the longest wine route in the Western Cape and possibly the world. It covers the wine growing areas of Wellington, Tulbagh, Worcester, Robertson and the Klein Karoo. The route offers fine South African wines, fortifieds, brandies and the soet wyne (sweet wines). Along this R62 Wine Route, there are 69 wine farms. 11 of these are specialist brandy cellars and R62's Brandy Route is made up of 7 of them. Over 20 estates make the lovely warming sweet stuff known commonly as Port (although not allowed to be called that anymore!). Now known to us as Cape Tawny, Cape Vintage and Cape Ruby. The R62 Wine Route doesn't stop there. It produces many varieties of good, strong and unique spirits too.
Klein Karoo Wine Route

The Klein Karoo Wine Route is the easternmost wine producing region in the country, stretching along the Cape Route 62 from Montagu in the west to the Langkloof in the east. Klein Karoo Wine Route offers visitors an excellent range of wines, including pot-still brandy, Muscadel and Port; its uniquecuisine; the warmth and hospitality of its people and the mystique of its landscape. The Klein Karoo Wine Route invites you to toast their variety.
