Renowned for long stretches of sandy beach and a strong emphasis on nature. Oyster Bay is situated between St Francis Bay and the start of the Tsitsikamma coast. There are magnificent sand dunes, woods, river deltas, lagoons, beaches and wetlands to explore and numerous hiking trails in the area. Other activities include horse riding, mountain biking and fishing. The close knit community are very protective of the beach and surrounding nature. Oyster Bay is working hard to conserve the African Oyster Catcher, able to open mussels with their beaks, and there is thus controlled use of 4x4 vehicles and motorbikes in the beach area.
