Montagu is a charming, historic town, nestled between two mountain ranges, halfway between Cape Town and the Garden Route, in the heart of the legendary Route 62. A must do is the famous tractor-ride to the top of the Langeberg Mountains on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the option of a potjiekos lunch. Other activities include, Horse riding, An old English fort, the Nature garden, with tea and refreshments served on Tuesdays during summer and the Big Five are not to far off. Montagu offers a relaxing and comfortable environment to the tourist or traveler to linger a little longer.
